Description Extended Information   The Eighteenth of July 1936 -1937. Jose' Bardasano Baos. This is a great Spanish Civil War propaganda poster. Reprinted from the original that was displayed around Spain during their civil war. It shows a Spanish soldier punching out a German stormtrooper. This poster is indicative of the propaganda war between those faithful to Hitler and the fascist cause and their opponents. Bardasano (1910 - 1979) was one of the most significant propagandists of the Spanish Civil War. A fine artist by training his unique talent shines through on all of his propaganda work. When Generalissimo Franco's fascist forces emerged victorious he was exiled from Spain to a concentration camp in France and eventually he was released to Mexico until his return to his beloved Spain in 1960.
